Seniors Abuse Help Line

A phone line answered 24 hours daily by trained volunteers at the Support Network,​ who provide confidential and anonymous support, information and referrals on elder abuse matters.​
Criteria:
Seniors experiencing abuse or anyone concerned about a senior that may be experiencing abuse. 

​Edmonton Seniors Safe Housing

Free, safehousing for up to 60 days. Suites are furnished and include meals and basic necessities. Day staff provide information, support and assistance as needed, including finances, transportation, housing, life skills, etc.
Health assesment and basic health needs are provided by VON (Victorian Order of Nurses). 
Criteria:
Seniors or senior couples, age 60 or over who need to leave an abusive situation. Must be able to live independently. 

Elderly Adult Resource Service (EARS)

EARS provides support, assessment and referral to elderly adults who are at risk of experiencing abuse or neglect.
Criteria:
This team's focus is supporting seniors who are experiencing low to medium level risk in their home situation and where police intervention is not required. 

Family Violence Prevention Center

Provides assistance with reducing barriers and provides individuals and families with a safe and supportive environment where they can make informed choices
Criteria:
Services are available for culturally diverse backgrounds.
