Outreach activities are centered on supporting independent living, enhancing the quality of lives of seniors within the community, and linking low-income and other at-risk senior groups to social support services. The Strathcona Place Outreach Team (SPOT) also runs two weekly support groups: Wisemen and Wonder Women.
Tax Clinic

This volunteer-run tax clinic helps seniors, fifty-five and over, file their tax returns. Free benefits navigation support is also provided throughout the year to low-income seniors.

Strathcona Place Society is the place for active seniors who want to stay fit, learn new skills, and engage with their community. Yoga, Tai Chi, Gentle Strength Training, art, weaving, and table tennis are some of our most popular activities. The Centre also hosts several workshops, lectures, and other events to engage seniors meaningfully.
